After spring break, most schools went to an on-line remote learning situation. It started out to last for two weeks, but it kept increasing until the decision was made to finish the academic year on line. Preschool isn't mandatory, but the teachers were so kind to do a circle time Tuesday and Thursday for 30 minutes. The three and four year old classes combined, so Dangy and Lincoln had the same session. There was usually a letter of the day, Miss Dory read a book, they talked about the weather, sometimes they did a science experiment or they showed examples of occupational therapy like hopping on one foot or catching a ball.

I was really glad we bought this chrome book a few months ago, it was the perfect way for them to do school. Lincoln had a hard time with on line learning for whatever reason. Some days he was agreeable to listen and participate, and other days he cried and would run and hide, so I didn't make him do it. Dangy really liked it though and was always ready when I said it was time.

Ryan set up a school space in the treadmill room on the desk. He usually does his homework in his bedroom or on the kitchen table, but he wanted a more permanent place. He wouldn't let me take a picture of him. The high school had a ruling that grades couldn't go lower than they were at Spring Break. Students could improve and raise their grade, but it wouldn't go any lower.

Britta came home the day before Easter. Utah State eventually moved all their classes on-line too. She was taking Human Anatomy, which had a cadaver lab. She said it was really hard to do the lab on-line and not get to see things in person.

We didn't have a place for Britta to study, so most of the time she worked on the kitchen table. Dagny and Lincoln could be distracting at times, but they are so cute that Britta would take a break to talk and play with them.

Britta did most of her studying at the library when she was in Logan, and it was a hard adjustment to study at home. This is how she felt about it most of the time.

Britta and Ryan both said on-line school was hard!! In person learning is so much easier. They felt like teachers gave a lot of busy work assignments on-line. 

But she has a good attitude and laughs and smiles most of the time. This virus is really turning our lives upside down.
