Dagny has lost another one of her front teeth! She said it went down the drain in the bathroom sink at home and so she had to write a note to the tooth fairy.
I think little kids are so cute when they are missing their front teeth! There is just something so charming about a big smile and no teeth.
One more picture just because she is so dang cute!
My kitchen help. We make pancakes for breakfast quite often and they love to help. They especially like to crack the eggs and then to stir when all the ingredients have been added to the bowl. Oh and of course and they like to flip the pancakes when the first side is done.
All ready to go play in the snow. One problem, we don't have any snow. She was just pretending. I would think she would be cooking in all that gear in the house, but she threw pretend snowballs and made snow angels on the carpet.
She wanted lots of bubbles. She poured the bubble mix in herself and she got what she wanted.
Megan did Dagny's hair one Sunday before they came over for dinner. SO Cute!! I definitely need to learn how to curl with a wand and make ringlets like these.
The front view, and
the side view. Dagny has thick hair with lots of body. Lucky girl!
Ms. Addler has a lot of fun events on the calendar. They have had popcorn story time, ice cream story time, hat day, pajama day, fancy day, and today is beach day. Delwyn remembered this big umbrella that we have and he got it out for her. She staked out a spot in the classroom with her beach towel, put on her flip flops and sunglasses, and grabbed her water bottle for morning meeting on the beach!
Everlee is growing! Kimberlea will be back to work next week and then I will have this sweet girl four times a week. I'm looking forward to some baby time!
I've been thinking of fun things for Lincoln to practice his writing. Today I told him how to spell Denya and Britta's names and he wrote them on the white board. He did a great job!
Dagny has been doing a unit on things that sink or float. Part of today's experiment was to see if a banana peel would sink or float. I guessed sink and I was wrong!! I was quite surprised! The things you learn in Kindergarten science.
Goofing off. These two are best friends and do everything together.
Play doh time making sandwiches.
I was in the kitchen making dinner and these two decided to make themselves into zombies using markers!! AGHHHHH!!! But I must admit they did a pretty good job, scars and all, and the way they outlined their eyes--little artists at work. Landon wasn't mad, took them home and gave them a bath. The green was pretty hard to get off and the next morning they still had a little bit around the edges of their faces. Kids!
Calista is becoming Dagny's shadow. She follows her everywhere and wants to do whatever Dagny is doing.
Quite often Calista will get Dagny by the hand and take her downstairs to play with her, show her something, or when she wants Dagny to turn on the TV for her. Dagny is really good to Calista. This particular day Dagny was doing some schoolwork and Calista wanted to sit by her in the chair.
Calista loves to go outside. Delwyn was home one day and suggested we take the kids to the park. There were so many people at the Red Park, so we went to Castle Rock Elementary. I wasn't sure Calista could swing on the big swings, but she did and she loved it.
Everlee has dark eyes and looks good in dark, bright colors. She is a happy, easy-going baby.
Dagny pretends to be a cat quite often. She begged and begged to give herself a cat nose and some whiskers, so I finally let her. I kept an eagle eye on her after the zombie episode to make sure she didn't go overboard. She actually did a pretty good job for a 6 year old!
