Swimming at the Lever's Pool

When Britta got married, we all traveled to Utah and then just drove back home the next day. This time for Ryan's wedding, Denya, Britta, and I decided to plan something fun and stay an extra day. Originally we were planning to go to the zoo in the morning and then Britta had made arrangements for us to swim at the Lever's pool. We stayed up late after Ryan's wedding and got a late start the next day, so we decided to skip the zoo and just swim. We had a quiet morning and then headed to the pool. WE HAD THE BEST TIME!

Britta and some of the little girls test out the water before getting in.

I swam around with Everlee for a bit,

and Calista was Denya's friend.

Emma always wants her mom!

The Levers had several floaties they let us use. The dragon was a favorite for Lincoln.

Lincoln held on tight and didn't fall off when some of the guys lifted him right out of the water.

Even Landon wanted a turn on this thing. It was a little tricky to keep it balanced, it wanted to lean to one side or the other.

The older grandkids wanted to jump off the diving board, but they were too scared. Kade showed them how it's done. He jumps high and makes big splashes.

Lincoln was the first kid to finally jump off. He stood up there for a good couple of minutes before he finally got brave and took the plunge.

After a few jumps, he got so brave that he was doing back flips into a floatie! Way to go Lincoln! He probably jumped off that diving board 100 times!

Claire is always one for a challenge, so she followed Lincoln's example and then she loved it too.

Into the floatie she goes!

Millie wanted to jump off in the floatie. Even with Melissa right there in the water, it took her some time to get brave.

She had the biggest smile on her face!

Then the adults joined the fun. Wade jumped sooo high!

Landon had several turns,

and Melissa did some diving.

I just loved watching Wade and Landon go off the diving board! I don't think they've done much swimming since they were teenagers and it was so fun to watch them be big kids.

It's hard to find pools that have diving boards anymore, probably because of the liability and insurance costs. We soaked up every minute! Denya and Britta also had fun jumping and diving.

Even I jumped off a few times!

All the kids love Kade, he's always so much fun.

Lifting kids up into the air and

shouting, "Santuary!"

Emma finally agreed to swim with me, she's such a mommy's girl whenever Melissa is around.

Just relaxing and soaking up some sun.

Swimming the day away!

The Lever's pool is just perfect! It's nice and big and has a special coating on the bottom so your feet don't scratched up like they can in a pool with a cement bottom. And it was the perfect temperature!  You could just jump right in and it didn't feel cold at all. Of course it was 90 degrees or more. Utah is always so hot!

Austin and Britta chatting on the steps.

The Levers have a snow cone machine and lots of flavored syrups, so Kade made snow cones for us.

The perfect pool snack! Blue raspberry is a big hit with the kids.

Millie loved every bite!

Emma looks so grown up relaxing in a pool chair.

Delwyn was there, but he didn't swim, so he took most of the pictures. We stayed for over 3 hours and even then it was hard to get the kids to leave. The Palmers love the water and swimming, that's for sure! I am so grateful to the Levers for having us today. Everything was just perfect and it was so nice to relax and enjoy some family time after all the busyness that comes with a wedding. A wonderful day!

Airbnb for Ryan's Wedding

I just love the idea of Airbnb's! It's so much fun to all be together in one house, so much more fun than if each family was in a small hotel room. We rented one in Sandy that was really nice and it happened to be just 5 minutes away from Adrienne's grandparents where they are having their reception, which was so nice! The property backed to a horse pasture, and the kids got a kick out of watching the horses. We all got there on Thursday and had lasagna for dinner that Britta and I had made in Logan yesterday.

One of the bathrooms had this huge bathtub! It would take so long for it to fill up with water. Haha.

When Calista saw Denya and Britta in the tub, she wanted to join them.

There was a foosball table that the kids loved playing around with. I don't think they knew how to play, but they didn't care and had fun anyway.

Wade made us some egg sandwiches for breakfast. Yum!

Game time!

We went swimming at the Lever's pool on Saturday and had the best time! We ordered pizza after we got back to our Airbnb.

 The girls playing some Uno.
I just loved this table! It was so long and we could all fit around it for meals. I would love to have it in our new dining room! The house was so nice I wanted to leave a review about what a great time we had and I mentioned how much we loved this big table. The owner responded back that her dad built it special for this house and I thought that was just so nice! Too bad I can't hire him to make one for me!

Britta's Pregnant!

The night we got to Logan Britta and Kade told me they are going to have a baby!! I was very surprised and very happy!! At first I didn't believe them. My kids are always teasing me and I am so naive and believe whatever they say. For some reason I thought they were waiting until they graduated to start a family, so I thought they were joking. It took a good minute or two until I believed them, and then they showed me this ultrasound picture. I should have known better than to think they would kid about something this important. She is due on March 17! She has been quite sick, poor girl. They have been calling it Mack. This baby is lucky to have Britta and Kade as parents, they are so much fun, make ordinary days enjoyable, and they laugh often. I want to spoil Britta and this baby right up!
They are waiting to tell the rest of the family until after Ryan's wedding so the spotlight is all on Ryan and Adrienne, and I felt so honored I got to know first!

Taking Ryan to Logan

The summer has gone by pretty fast, at least for me! Maybe not for Ryan and Adrienne who spent the summer apart, and now it's time for their wedding! Ryan and I headed to Logan on Tuesday, August 8th to take his things so he could start getting settled in their new apartment, and the wedding will be on Friday. I stayed with Britta and Kade and Ryan stayed one night with us and one night at his new place. He headed down to Sandy a day before us.

Of course we went to Karie Anne's! Britta loves that place and I can see why! It's a food truck that is only open in the spring and summer that sells these combination custard and Italian ice drinks that are amazing!

I had vanilla custard with green apple Italian ice and it was divine!

Britta is making the corsages and the boutonnieres for the wedding. She took a flower arranging class last semester and learned a lot.  They are going to be beautiful! She had a few left to finish off, and we (Ryan and I) helped her.

Ryan shows off his bow making skills.

The finished product!

Adrienne found a free couch and loveseat on Marketplace. I called Gordon and he brought his truck and helped us get them.

Moving them into the apartment.

They were heavy! The couch has a hide a bed inside it and those things weigh a ton! Ryan collapsed for a rest after all that lifting.

Kade and I check out the new furniture! Pretty nice for a free couch and love seat.

Ryan found a set of two twin sized box springs for pretty cheap and Gordon helped us get those too. Who knew that two twin sized extra long box springs are the same size as a king bed?? Adrienne and her parents came to Logan one day and brought this bed that her grandparents bought for them. The mattress was packed up super tight and takes 72 hours to fluff up, so they wanted to get it set up. The headboard is gray velvet and is really pretty.

Britta and I got our nails done on Thursday before heading down to Sandy. It's always so much fun to have girl time with my daughters!
