The Grandkids are so Cute!

This girl has so much personality! She had my purse, glasses, and key and was prancing around the room.

I asked her where she was going and she said, "Shopping!"

Sleeping babies are so precious! Wrapped up all snug and cozy.

She has the sweetest face!

Dagny got these sunglasses at the Valentine's Day Party at preschool. She loves them and will wear them for an hour at a time. I think it would be hard to see out of them.

She loves to dance and has a lot of moves.

Dagny loves these Rapunzel high heels she got for Christmas. She is quite the girl!

It's always amazing how fast babies grow. Calista is 2 months old now. She is a happy baby and is content to sit in the bouncy chair and watch Dagny and Lincoln run around.

I propped her up on the couch and she looks so big.

I just love her big blue eyes!

Wade and Kimberlea took these pictures and gave them to me.

What a cutie with that little smile! Being a Grandma really is the best!!

Denya Comes to Visit

I love to spend time with Denya and I was so happy that she came for Calista's blessing! It is President's Day weekend, so it was perfect!

We got our nails done, did some shopping, (we didn't find much, but Denya did buy some cute ankle pants with a tie waist at Kohl's that she can wear for work), and played some games with Ryan. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures! Denya also cut Ryan's hair. She has gotten pretty good at that since she got some hair clippers for Christmas a couple years ago. We spent a lot of time playing with Landon's kids, especially since we had them overnight on Saturday. Denya is such a fun aunt.

Denya and Dagny took some selfies. Dagny loves using the phone for anything and laughed at the filters that make you into animals.

Denya read books to Lincoln and gave him lots of snuggles and tickles.
We're so glad she was here for the weekend!

Landon's Birthday

Landon's birthday was yesterday, 30 years old!! Megan bought tickets to the play "Anna Karina" at the Buell theater. Plays at that theater usually end pretty late, so they stayed downtown in a hotel and I kept the kids overnight. Kimberlea made this chocolate cake for Calista's blessing dinner and we are making it into a birthday cake.

Some kids are very excited to help their Dad blow out the candles.

And opening presents is fun for everyone!

Landon makes a tomato bisque soup that is going to be so much easier with this tool. Happy Birthday Landon! You are quick to laugh, have so much humor, you give good advice, you work hard, you are a great Dad! I love you!!

Calista's Blessing Day

It has been a dream of mine to make a blessing dress for a granddaughter for a long time. Mom crocheted a dress for my girls to wear and we changed the color of the ribbon so it looked a little different. Denya had pink and Britta had peach. Maybe that wish came from Mom making my girls' dress, I'm not sure. Anyway, my dream came true! I bought this fabric when Melissa was pregnant with Claire and we found out it was a girl. Then I found out that Melissa had bought a blessing dress before she was even married because it was her dream to have a family, so I saved the fabric. Then Megan wanted Dagny to wear pink for her blessing day. Seven years later I got to make this dress! I was really nervous to make the buttonholes on the satin, so I asked Sherrie Chadderdon to help me. The dress is beautiful!! I got some compliments from people that knew I made it. It's just a basic dress pattern, it's the lace that makes it pretty and I didn't make the lace. I haven't  sewn anything for quite awhile and it was so much fun to make this!! Thank you to Kimberlea for letting me realize my dream!

It fit her perfectly and she looked like an angel!

Wade gave her a wonderful blessing. He blessed her to have a strong mind and a strong body. He blessed her to make right choices.

Everyone was here except Britta, who is on a mission in Sweden. My heart is so full today!
And just by coincidence, Landon was speaking and Delwyn and all the boys did a musical number singing, "Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy," accompanied by Melissa. Delwyn has wanted to do this for a long time, but it's hard to get all the boys here. Austin is the Young Men's President so it's hard for him to miss his own ward and it's mandatory that the manager work on Sunday at Village Inn because it's their busiest day. Today was the perfect day to sing and I'm so glad it happened!

These three have the best time together. Claire was so excited that Claire and Millie were at our ward.

So sweet!

Babies are certainly a gift straight from heaven.

Happy parents on this special day.

When I was a little girl, I wanted to have a lot of kids and be a stay at home Mom. I got to have my dream and love it when grandkids are added to my family.

I love babies!

This is one of my favorite pictures! So much love!

This is our 6th grandchild, and we may be just a little proud.

Sleeping peacefully after such a big day!

Kimberlea made lasagna and I had Ceasar salad and french bread. Everyone came here for dinner. Carolee has been in the hospital and so they weren't able to come for the blessing. Amberlea and Mitch are here and Kimberlea invited the Bickers. They are moving soon and Phil was doing some packing, but Leisha and their girls came. Kimberlea made a chocolate cake and Wade brought a Key Lime and a Cherry Pie. After dessert some people played games and some people visited. It has been a perfect day! I'm so thankful for my family, for this new baby, and for sons that hold the priesthood and can bless their babies.

Valentine's Day

Dagny and I made her Valentine box. I'm not very creative when it comes to these things, but Dagny loved it and she had fun gluing all the hearts on it.

Dancing around is her favorite thing to do. She has so much personality!

Landon bought some Air Head valentines for her to take to preschool. She could hardly wait to give them to all her friends.

There were 3 different kids of cards and Dagny helped put the candy in the slots.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone that I love!!

A Package from Britta

I was so excited when I got this out of the mailbox!!

It was a birthday present for me, she knew it would be late.  It turned out perfect since tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I was gone for my birthday. She also sent a sweet note thanking for me being her Mom and telling me that she loved me. I was so touched!

Some Swedish chocolate!! It was so creamy it just melted in my mouth! She said her favorite was the Co-co, which had coconut in it. They were both so, so good! Happy Birthday to me from Britta!

Super Bowl Party!

For some people (like me), the Super Bowl is more about the food than the football, unless of course, the Broncos are playing. I am loyal to my team. Street tacos are a hot item right now and taco trucks are doing big business. When we were debarking from the cruise, Gordon told me his favorite food on the ship was the street tacos. What??! I didn't ever try them. They were at a stand and I saw them, but just never had one. Too much good food on that cruise. Anyway, I have been wanting to try them, so here we go! Street tacos are really small, only about 3 or 4 bites, and they don't have a lot of toppings so you can eat them easily while you are walking down the street.

We tried 2 different recipes, one for chicken and one for pork. The chicken was amazing, the pork was bland and didn't have much flavor. We bought street taco shells for the grandkids to have quesadillas and bought some mid size corn shells for the adults. We wanted a little bit bigger shell for us.

All the toppings! I made Puppy Chow and Kimberlea made some S'more cookies that were so good!

The game watchers. This year it was the New England Patriots against the Los Angeles Rams. New England has won many times, so we wanted the Rams to win, but no luck. The game wasn't too exciting and the final score was 13-3. Maroon 5 was the halftime show, but I was so busy telling Austin about the cruise that I missed it!! But I heard it wasn't that good, they only sang one song and then some rappers finished out the show.

The following pictures show what those who weren't watching the game were busy doing.

Dagny loves to hold Calista.

Claire's mind was on the food. Smart girl!! It was really good!

Maddie loved the mozzarella sticks and she ate several.

Some baby time for Melissa. She loves to snuggle with Calista whenever she gets the chance.

Cousin time is such a fun time! Claire has Dagny's kindle and they are busy watching shows and playing games.

I'm not a big football fan, but I'm all for a chance to have my family over and eat good food!
