It has been a dream of mine to make a blessing dress for a granddaughter for a long time. Mom crocheted a dress for my girls to wear and we changed the color of the ribbon so it looked a little different. Denya had pink and Britta had peach. Maybe that wish came from Mom making my girls' dress, I'm not sure. Anyway, my dream came true! I bought this fabric when Melissa was pregnant with Claire and we found out it was a girl. Then I found out that Melissa had bought a blessing dress before she was even married because it was her dream to have a family, so I saved the fabric. Then Megan wanted Dagny to wear pink for her blessing day. Seven years later I got to make this dress! I was really nervous to make the buttonholes on the satin, so I asked Sherrie Chadderdon to help me. The dress is beautiful!! I got some compliments from people that knew I made it. It's just a basic dress pattern, it's the lace that makes it pretty and I didn't make the lace. I haven't sewn anything for quite awhile and it was so much fun to make this!! Thank you to Kimberlea for letting me realize my dream!

It fit her perfectly and she looked like an angel!
Wade gave her a wonderful blessing. He blessed her to have a strong mind and a strong body. He blessed her to make right choices.
Everyone was here except Britta, who is on a mission in Sweden. My heart is so full today!
And just by coincidence, Landon was speaking and Delwyn and all the boys did a musical number singing, "Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy," accompanied by Melissa. Delwyn has wanted to do this for a long time, but it's hard to get all the boys here. Austin is the Young Men's President so it's hard for him to miss his own ward and it's mandatory that the manager work on Sunday at Village Inn because it's their busiest day. Today was the perfect day to sing and I'm so glad it happened!
These three have the best time together. Claire was so excited that Claire and Millie were at our ward.
So sweet!
Babies are certainly a gift straight from heaven.
Happy parents on this special day.
When I was a little girl, I wanted to have a lot of kids and be a stay at home Mom. I got to have my dream and love it when grandkids are added to my family.
I love babies!
This is one of my favorite pictures! So much love!
This is our 6th grandchild, and we may be just a little proud.
Sleeping peacefully after such a big day!
Kimberlea made lasagna and I had Ceasar salad and french bread. Everyone came here for dinner. Carolee has been in the hospital and so they weren't able to come for the blessing. Amberlea and Mitch are here and Kimberlea invited the Bickers. They are moving soon and Phil was doing some packing, but Leisha and their girls came. Kimberlea made a chocolate cake and Wade brought a Key Lime and a Cherry Pie. After dessert some people played games and some people visited. It has been a perfect day! I'm so thankful for my family, for this new baby, and for sons that hold the priesthood and can bless their babies.
