Landon's Birthday

Happy Birthday to Landon! His kids are very excited! I don't usually ask what kind of cake people want for their birthday, but I did ask Landon and he requested this applesauce raisin cake with brown sugar frosting. We are late celebrating. Sarita has been here for a couple of weeks for Dagny's baptism and they have been spending time with her and haven't been over for Sunday dinner.

Make a wish and blow out those candles!

A birthday card and a gift card for some

audible credits! Landon listens to a lot of audio books when he drives to work and when he's doing chores around the house, so I knew this would be a great gift.

Landon bought himself a saxophone for a birthday present! He said he's wanted to learn to play one for quite awhile, so he decided to just do it! He's going to teach himself to play and I'm so excited! I love music and it will be fun to see his progress.
Happy Birthday Landon!!

Dagny's Baptism

Dagny was the most excited person to be baptized that I have ever seen! She could hardly wait for this day to get here. She talked about getting baptized constantly, and wanted everyone to know about it. She even asked if she could tell the workers who are doing the construction on our house about it.

Megan's mom, Sarita, has been sick and they were waiting for her to get better so she could be here. Everyone is happy that Sarita has recovered and was able to make the trip to Colorado for this special day.

The cutest family!

We love this girl and we are so happy she wanted to get baptized.

Being a grandma is one of the greatest joys of my life.

Britta really wanted to come and support Dagny on her baptism day and that made me so happy! It is President's Day weekend which gives them an extra day to visit with us and it turned out perfectly!

A picture for Dagny with her family and her grandparents.

I was happy that so many of our family was able to witness Dagny's baptism.

Megan planned Dagny's baptism, and it was absolutely perfect! She made the programs and asked people to participate.

Marc Wheeler, a counselor in the Bishopric, was presiding. I love the Wheeler family and I was excited he was conducting Dagny's baptism. Landon gave the Baptism talk. He talked about his baptism, also in this building, in this font 26 years and 2 days ago! Britta and Kade sang a musical number, "Where Love Is". They both have nice voices and sound so good singing together! Megan talked about the Holy Ghost and some of her mission experiences.
Dagny had to be dunked twice because her toe came up.
Lincoln gave the closing prayer and it was adorable.

A fun picture on the back of the program: Dagny telling the unicorns to get on the ark!  Apparently they didn't listen!

After the baptism we went to Landon and Megan's for lunch. I gave Dagny a Holy Ghost blanket to help her remember that one of the many jobs of the Holy Ghost is to comfort us when we are sad, hurt, or lonely.

She loved it and snuggled into it immediately! I hope she always remembers this day and how excited she was to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to receive the Holy Ghost. My wish is that she will develop a strong testimony and always stay close to the Lord. What a happy day!
