Austin and Melissa had planned to go to France for their 10 year anniversary, leaving on May 6 and staying for 12 days. Because of Covid, no travel to foreign countries is allowed and many attractions are closed. To say they were disappointed is an understatement. And really, can you blame them?? Britta got this grand idea since they can't go to France, let's bring France to them! Britta and Ryan dressed up as waiters and made a French welcome sign.
When Dagny and Lincoln got here, they wanted in on the action,
especially if it meant they got a mustache!
Anxiously awaiting our customers!
We could hardly wait to see their faces when they opened the door. They were so surprised and happy, their smiles say it all!
First thing, a picture by the welcome sign.
Britta and Ryan made an Effiel Tower and Landon put on the finishing touches.
A perfect picture frame!
Dinner was bread, crackers, cheese (including brie and gouda, of course), lunch meat, and a fruit tray. Very french, don't you think?
It was quite delicious!
I almost forgot to get any pictures of the dessert! Crepes, aka Swedish pancakes, whatever you want to call them, filled with Nutella and strawberries, or syrup if you prefer.
Happy Anniversary Austin and Melissa! We hope you enjoyed your little taste of France
