Douglas County High School students were assigned a day to drive through the parking lot to pick up any personal items left at the school, yearbooks, graduation gowns, and to return any textbooks or school items. Ryan was happily surprised to find that he received a letter in swimming. We wondered if all the seniors automatically got one. Ryan would have earned it for sure if the swim season had happened.
Swimming on the DC team was probably the biggest disappointment of the covid cancelled events for Ryan. He loves swim!! He had set some pretty high goals for himself to try and make it to state. He also really wanted to get Blake's memorial award for being a friend to all and promoting team unity. I don't know if Profe would have chosen Ryan or if he would have called that a conflict of interest, but Ryan was hoping. In his eyes it would have been one of the highest honors he could ever receive. We'll never know, but we are proud of Ryan for lettering in swimming (all four years), and he is definitely the best swimmer in this family.
