Denya was in a play at the Scera, the Orem Community Theatre. She loves to perform! Some of her friends auditioned to be in the play also, but she was the only one chosen. She was quite flattered. Delwyn and I wanted to see her in the show, so we planned a quick trip to Provo.
A picture of the Addams family, the main characters. I am not a fan of the Addams family, I haven't watched their shows and I only know a little bit about it, but it didn't matter because this was a stand alone episode. It was hilarious! We did a lot of laughing!
The Addams family daughter, Wednesday, falls in love with a normal human boy and they want to get married. The play is the story of the two families meeting. The Adams family calls upon some of their dead ancestors for support. Denya was one of the dead ancestors, a saloon girl.
More of the ancestors.
Denya became friends with a lot of the cast members. They spent a lot of time practicing together! She especially enjoyed the woman who played Mortica, the Addams family mother.
She loved her costume! She was happy that she was chosen to be the saloon girl.
Actresses deserve flowers, so we brought her some beautiful roses!
What a fan club!
Her good friend and former roommate, Leah Blake, came to watch her one night.
More friends!
We went to dinner at Café Rio with Brynn before the show. Her friend Shay met us at the theatre. Denya had to be there at 6:00 to do her make-up, wig, and costume, so she was not able to go to dinner with us. It takes quite a while to get all that make-up on so she will look dead! The play started at 7:30.
Good job Denya! We really enjoyed the play and it was extra fun to watch because you were in it!
