Delwyn and Britta's Birthday

We always celebrate Delwyn and Britta's birthdays together. We usually do the birthdays on September 29, Britta's actual birthday, but we are celebrating early because Delwyn and I will be out of town on Britta's birthday. We are going to Provo to watch Denya in a play. I made sure to ask Britta if it was okay that we were gone on her birthday, and she said, "As long I as get my presents before you leave!" A typical teen response, don't you think?

Sweet 16 for Britta, 55 for Delwyn. Ahhh! I am now married to a senior citizen who can get discounts at certain restaurants. We all teased him a lot about that.

There was a lot of speculation as to whether she could blow out all the candles in one breath--and she did!! Hope she made a good wish!

Landon and Megan went out to dinner at Red Robin with Delwyn on his actual birthday and they gave him this new jacket.

Ryan gave Britta these Orange Sticks. He won them at the Palmer Reunion and has been saving them to give Britta for her birthday. What a sweet brother!

Of course, all 16 year old girls want for their birthday is clothes!

They took turns opening presents. Delwyn's turn!

Britta got a note saying she could get a manicure. She was pretty excited.

Blake got this tie for Delwyn. Even though it is the classic dad gift, he really does need it!

This present is from Britta. It sure made him smile, and then laugh. It was the closest stuffed animal to a chicken that she could find.

There was a note inside that said, "We know how much you miss us at work, so here's something to remind you of us! Love, Chubs, Nugget, Tina, and Sesame (the chickens). We all know how much he LOVES his chickens!

Britta has been wanting a pair of rain boots. These are really cute and have fur in them, so they will be super warm on those cold days that are coming up.
