Ryan's Birthday/Gavin's Present

Ryan really wanted to come home for his birthday and Adrienne was coming with him. I thought it was a little strange to come home when he'll be out for summer break in less than a month. And then the truth came out: Gavin and Adrienne went together on a birthday gift for Ryan and they really wanted to give it to him together.
If Gavin waited until summer break, Adrienne wouldn't get to see Ryan's reaction.  I'm always happy to see my kids anytime for any reason, so I said, "Yay!"

Ryan was just chilling with Skye, and Gavin came over almost immediately when Ryan and Adrienne got here.

 Ryan and Gavin have been friends practically since birth, and they are only a month apart. Thank you Gavin for making Ryan so happy today! 

Later in the weekend, Ryan played fruit ninja warrior. It's hard to see in the picture, but Adrienne is tossing an orange to Ryan. His sword blends in with the flowers, but he is attempting to slice the orange in half. He did pretty good!! Nailed some, missed some. They also got some grapefruit and a pineapple. It sure made the backyard smell good!

Calista and Everlee were here when Ryan and Adrienne arrived, and they both immediately wanted to play with Skye. She is such a good dog and puts up with all the kids petting her, loving on her, and giving her lots of attention.

Adrienne likes to play with the kids and read books to them. It's going to be a fun weekend!
