Millie's Birthday

Millie is 7 years old! She has the cutest smile. Millie likes to draw and color, build with legos, and play with Dagny. Cocoa Puffs is still her favorite cereal, and she loves strawberries and ice cream. She is having a birthday party early since Melissa will be going to the hospital to bring Emma into this world 4 days after Millie's real birthday.

Opening presents is oh so fun!

It's an electronic writing tablet! It has a stylus and different colors show up on the screen at different places, so kids can make colorful pictures or words. Millie likes to draw and is quite the artist, so I thought she would like this. It might be good for the church bag too.

I also gave her this tee shirt and some shorts. I liked how colorful it was.

She was pretty happy with this Polly Pocket playset.

These girls are a stuffy loving bunch, they all want to check out Millie's new dog.

Melissa usually makes cupcakes, they bought some this time, as they should. Who wants to bake and stand on your feet to frost cupcakes when you are 9 months pregnant? That purple frosting is pretty dark and the kids all had purple lips after eating them.

Pinata time! The birthday girl is up first. Swing hard Millie! They get 3 tries and then it goes to the next person.

Austin thought Maddie might need some help, but

she's got it down! Look at that hit!

 

Claire's got a powerful swing, but she didn't break it on any of her three hits.

Round 2 begins. Dagny and Lincoln aren't here, Lincoln is testing for his next belt in karate this afternoon. The girls got a few more turns since there are only 3 kids hitting the pinata. Calista wanted to stay in the house and play with all the fun toys in the basement.

It finally broke open and the candy collecting began. It was quite chilly for the end of June, notice Claire and Maddie are wearing jackets. I was wearing one of Melissa's as well. Rain is in the forecast for later today and it was overcast and windy. We hurried back in the house as soon as they were done.

 Melissa and Millie shared the Sunday birthday cake. It is actually Denya's birthday today too, so Happy Birthday to three of my favorite girls!
