Delwyn's knee has bothering him since last summer. He has been walking with a limp, sometimes it is quite swollen, and the pain intensity varies from not to bad to pretty sore and stiff. He finally went to a specialist in December and he has a torn meniscus. Today he had surgery to repair his knee. This is a common surgery that takes about 20 minutes. The doctor talked to me afterwards and said Delwyn actually had 3 tears and he has probably been in considerable pain, but should be significantly better after this. You can walk after this surgery if it doesn't bother you, some people use crutches for 2 days, and then you are fine! He has 3 small incisions around his knee with a few stitches in each one.
After he came out of anesthesia and got dressed, he sat in this reclincer for a bit before he got released. Here's to no more pain or limping!
