Austin's Kids Spend the Night

Austin is taking a Master's course on-line and there is a seminar in Louisiana that the school was recommending their students attend. They were offering scholarships, Austin applied on a whim, and was accepted!! He was quite surprised, I was not! Why wouldn't he get picked?? He's smart, a good student, he's dedicated, and diligent. Melissa thought it would be fun to go with him, so we have the kids for a couple of days. 

Austin and Melissa dropped Maddie and Emma off around noon and headed for the airport. Delwyn picked Claire and Millie up after school today (Thursday) and they are missing school tomorrow, which they are pretty excited about.

These girls are early risers, getting up at about 6:30 am, so they had some TV time while I got ready for the day.

This baby girl drinks a lot of water! Cuppa cuppa is her favorite word!

Dagny is having an early birthday party tomorrow, and Claire and Millie are making some stuffies for her. What a cute idea! They brought all the supplies and started sewing them together. It was quite the project and took them a good amount of time. Melissa has taught them some basic sewing, so they knew what they were doing, and I only had to untangle their thread a couple of times.

It's the first Friday of the month, so I had Calista and Everlee today. Millie and Calista played together all afternoon.

Lemonade and popcorn tea party is their favorite snack.

Cousin fun is the best time.

It's so fun that Claire is getting old enough to play games that aren't little kid games. She beat me at Sequence!

Emma is such a cute girl and she loves to play on the stairs.

I ordered this diamond gem craft kit. It has little sequins that stick on adhesive patterns to make stickers and sun catchers. The pieces are really small and it takes a lot of patience to do it.

Claire finished two stickers!

 Emma isn't quite walking on her own, but she sure loves to push the stroller around.

Tomorrow Dagny is having a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and then we are taking the girls home since Austin and Melissa have a late flight. Claire is already begging to spend the night again! I'm sure glad she thinks it's so much fun!
