This is what we woke up to on New Year's Day. We had a really dry fall and a dry December so we really need the moisture. We all slept in since we stayed up late. Britta really wanted to go to the outlet mall since we didn't get to do any Christmas shopping together this year. Kade and Ryan shoveled, and in the afternoon, Britta and I ventured out. The roads weren't bad at all, but when we got to the outlets, there were no cars in the parking lot and they were closed! What?!! The outlets rarely close, and it stopped snowing in the middle of the nights, road were a little snowy, but had been plowed. We were very surprised. We went to Target, didn't see much that interested us, but Britta did buy some socks.
I worked on my planner, Britta is taking over my old one. I quit using it in the middle of year so there are a lot of pages left. It was fun to make them together. Delwyn and the boys watched football. Britta and Kade packed up, they should be able to make it home tomorrow as the snow has cleared out. A fun day to start out 2022!
