Palmer Reunion

Time for the Palmer reunion! We seem to always be in charge of breakfast the first day, which is fine with me. We have our turn first and we are done!

Britta and Ryan are the master pancake makers! I mix the batter and they do the cooking.

Hungry girls are ready for breakfast. How much longer?

A couple of years ago Wade and Delwyn made omelets. You could request which toppings you wanted, and get individualized omelets. Everyone got spoiled and now they expect that every year. Wade and Kimberlea aren't here, and I'm not very good at omelet making, so we have to recruit help. Thank goodness for BJ!

Cousin time is the best!

Cowboy Zach has captured Britta's heart!

We have quite the set up! Very comfortable with plenty of room for all the campers.

Someone had the idea to make a redneck swimming pool. You make a perimeter with hay bales, line the inside with a tarp, and fill with water. Sounds like a good idea, right?

Hay bales are quite heavy, look at Ryan's muscles!

It was a lot of work to get the hay bales in place, and after all that, the tarp wouldn't hold water, so no swimming. Darn! So onto the next idea...

A homemade slip and slide! And this time, it was successful!

It was a long and bumpy ride! And somewhat muddy after awhile, but the kids didn't seem to mind.

Getting good and wet.

Go Kaylee! Whee!

Four wheeler rides are a popular occurrence at this reunion. Norma really loved it.

Carolyn England (Grandma Palmer's neice) found this sweater when she was cleaning their storage room. Grandma Palmer knitted it. Carolyn felt inspired to give it to Britta and she can take it with her to Sweden. It will be like part of Grandma is with Britta. So thoughtful and so sweet! It fits her so well!

Karalee and Doug always make dutch oven lasagne and corn on the cob. Bryan helped to serve it up. Sometimes they talk about changing the meals, but I think there would be some protesting. This lasagne, Swedish pancakes, and scones are tradition!!

Palmer reunion food is the best!

Brynn is such a good aunt, Bryan's kids just love her! And she's pretty cute too!

Time for another yummy breakfast! Lynae's family has the Swedish pancakes down to a science!

They have a lot of cast iron skillets going to cook for this many people!

Kyler and BJ are the best cooks!

And bacon to go with the Swedish pancakes! We are in heaven!

Izzy, Halli, and Dalen having fun together.

Three troublemakers! Ohh, I mean three musketeers! These three always have so much fun together.

Lezlie brought some rocks and paint. Izzy's rocks are so colorful!

Ryan made a turtle.

Lezlie is so talented and creative! She knits, paints, and does all kinds of crafts. She always has something fun for us to do at the reunion. Thanks Lezlie!

Delwyn likes to go to the cemetery each year when we come to the reunion. Sometimes I go and sometimes I don't. This year it was Delwyn and I, and Tammy.

They were the best in-laws a girl could ask for. Sometimes I felt like they loved me more than Delwyn, their own son! Haha! That's how good they were to me. I love them! I am sure their hearts are swelling with joy to watch their posterity at these reunions. What a wonderful family they created!

Keri had a snow cone machine that was a big hit! What a great idea!

Nothing like a snow cone on a hot summer day!

A few rounds of cards...the boys...

and the girls. Lots of laughing going on.

Look at those delicious scones!! Cooked to perfection!! Just pass me some honey!

Nothing could be better than a Palmer scone!

Pulled pork sandwiches!

These cute boys were having all kinds of fun jumping so high! They finally had to sit down and rest.

Cousin time!

Are you ready for the raffle? Get your tickets out! There are always some great things I want to win.

The first item is up! Lezlie calls out the numbers and Enid holds it up. The raffle has really taken off. Everyone brings a couple of items, so there is a lot of loot to win.

One night Britta drove to Logan to see our good friends the Gunnells. Jana was the Young Women's President and Britta really loved her.

Carter is the same age as Britta and he is going on a mission to Chile soon. Britta had a fun visit with their family.

Quality time! Good food and great people!

Just hanging out and visiting. Britta and Ryker have always been best friends. It is so sweet!

Until next year, Palmer family, we love you and these reunions!
