Denya Moves to Salt Lake

After making the commute from Provo to Salt Lake for over a year, Denya is taking the plunge and moving to Salt Lake to be near her work at the LDS Church Office Buildings on Temple Square. She sold her contract in Provo and has been living with Brynn for a couple of weeks in Orem. I flew out for the weekend to help her move. The first load is packed and ready to go!

She is moving to this cute house on Kensington Drive. She will have her own bedroom in the basement and have 3 other roommates. It is really a cute, cozy place.

The house is unfurnished, so Denya needs to buy some furniture. She decided to go with Ikea. She's not sure what the future holds or how long she will be here, so she didn't want to invest in anything super nice in case she wants to sell it sometime in the future.

After some debate, she decided to just go with a twin bed and a dresser. The bed will be easier to move in the future, or she could just sell it. Ikea is a self service store, so we loaded everything on a flatbed cart.

By dinnertime, we were starving! We went to a really cute sandwich shop. I had a grilled cheese with granny smith apples and bacon also inside it with some tomato soup. Denya had a monte cristo. It was soooo good!

Putting games away in the hall closet.

We started putting the bed together. It was taking longer than we wanted and we weren't sure we were doing it correctly,

so Denya called her friend Ian who lives in Provo. He was so nice to come immediately to help.

It's done!! Hooray! It turned out great! It's comfortable and cute!

Denya is going to love sleeping in a bed again. She has been on an air mattress at Brynn's the last few weeks.

We (or should I say Ian) didn't get the dresser put together before I had to leave for the airport. It was so fun to spend time with Denya, help her move, and get to see her new place. The time sure went by fast! I could easily have stayed another day or two. Enjoy your new housing!!
