Ryan is doing Winter Percussion this year. It's not quite as busy as Marching Band, but it is still a big commitment. The competitions are held inside at different schools, but there isn't enough room in the school for everyone to warm up and get ready, so they set up outside and do it. They only go inside long enough to perform. Thank goodness we had a mild winter so it wasn't too cold.

The name of their show is "Elemental". They march and move around a little, but not as much as marching band.
Ryan was pretty happy he got to play the tenors most of the time. He occasionally played a bass drum as well.
The directors kept changing the program and at their final performance Ryan and Chrissy did a short dance which included a lift. It was so impressive! I wished they would have been doing that part since the beginning!
The championships were held at the Air Force Academy.
Good job and good season! I enjoyed watching them perform.
