Every year Troy and Judi have the best New Year's Eve party! It is my favorite place to ring in the New Year. There is so much food! This is the appetizer table. We also have ham, rolls, little smokies, mozzarella sticks, chips and dips, and so much more!
Lots of drinks and lots of desserts!
This year we had the Christmas gift party on New Year's Eve. The kids 18 and under draw names for a gift exchange.
Greyson got some fun baby toys.

The adults did a white elephant gift exchange this year. Some people say the men are too hard to buy for and they didn't want to draw names, so we are trying something different this time.
We all picked a number, I got 5, so I was really close to the beginning. I chose a big present.
Ha ha ha! I got a Santa suit. We are playing with the rule that a gift can only be stolen 3 times. Blake stole the Santa suit from me.
And Morgan stole it from Blake! We told her she had to model it for us. She needs a bigger pillow to fill out that stomach!

Layce got this huge flask and some root beer. All the men loved it! It was quickly stolen by Scott, and then by Karson. After the third person, it can't be taken anymore.
Denya got this fun hot chocolate set.
We brought this outhouse calendar for one of our gifts. Shane got quite a chuckle out of it.

After losing the Santa suit, Blake got a flashlight.
Mom got cards. We love games, a perfect gift!
Denya is always happy when she has a cat for a friend. She says it's the first thing she wants to get when she has her own place.
After all the gifts are open, we bring out the games and play until midnight, when we ring in the New Year. Some of the kids are playing Telestrations. It's a drawing and guessing game and causes much laughter.
The Brown's favorite game is Retard Rummy, played with face cards. We can't ever convince them to play anything else.
Not sure what this game is. It looked complicated and there was much concentration, but they were having fun with it.
When it gets close to midnight, everyone gets ready to cheer. This year Judi gave mardi gras beads to everyone.
Greyson had been asleep most of the evening, but woke up in time to celebrate. He liked his hat and didn't even try to pull it off, which surprised me.
Of course the kids had to be silly!
And of course I wanted a nice picture!
Noise makers and party hats add to the fun. Troy is a big kid at heart.

Happy New Year!! At midnight the confetti (aka shredded newspaper) throwing begins! It is wild and crazy, noisy and chaotic!

The parents try to stay out of the mess and take pictures.
We throw confetti and shout for 10 or 15 minutes and then everyone helps clean up. By 12:30 am, the fun is over and we head home (or to Grandma's) for bed. Here's hoping that 2016 is a fabulous year for all of us!
