Blake is swimming on the school team again this year. Today is the senior meet when they honor the senior boys. Blake is swimming in some relays and some individual heats. Ready to go off the blocks!
Blake is in the center lane. He finished third out of five.
Just keep swimming....
Time to honor the senior boys.
The swim team formed a receiving line and the seniors and their parents walked down getting handshakes and high fives.
A small tribute was read about each senior and they were presented with a gift. Some boys got water bottles, Blake got a swim towel.
There are 4 senior boys, Cameron, Rory, Gerald, and Blake. The swimming team is a combination of the 2 high schools in Castle Rock, Castle View and Douglas County. Cameron is the only senior from Castle View, their school colors are red and gold, so he has red balloons and the other boys have purple. Coach Byers (or Profe, as all the boys call him) is on the right, and Coach Rich is on the left. It's hard to believe this is Blake's last home swim meet!
